Terms

The agreement between us.

Effective May 14, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Xtra Hands — the website at xtrahands.app, the mobile apps, and the related services operated by Spin It LLC (together, the “Service”). These Terms also serve as the Terms of Use and End User License Agreement (“EULA”) for the Xtra Hands mobile apps. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Our Privacy Policy is available at https://xtrahands.app/privacy-policy.

Who can sign up.

You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to enter into a contract to create a parent account. Members use the Service through a household that a parent has set up — members are not parties to this agreement, the parent is.

Your account.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You can have one parent account but participate in multiple households (e.g. for split custody or blended families).

Trials and paid tiers.

Every Xtra Hands household tier ships with a 30-day trial. After the trial, your household renews automatically at the tier you chose unless you cancel. Subscriptions are sold inside our mobile apps through the supported app marketplace or store for your device; pricing for each tier is displayed in-app at the time of purchase. Subscriptions are per-household, not per-user; the active tier is the smallest tier that fits your member count.

Adding a member that exceeds your tier’s capacity prompts a tier upgrade on your next billing cycle, up to the Crew tier. Crew is the cap — it covers any household size at a flat per-month rate, so adding a 6th or later member does not increase your bill. Removing a member does not automatically downgrade your subscription — you stay in control of your tier so a sibling stepping out for a season does not shuffle your billing. You can change tier or cancel from your store of purchase; we do not handle subscription changes directly.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, depending on the tier you chose) unless canceled before the renewal deadline required by your store of purchase. To cancel, manage your subscription through your device, marketplace, or store account subscription settings. Your household keeps access through the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds.

Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by your store of purchase under its own policies, not by us. To request a refund, use the refund process provided by the marketplace or store where you purchased the subscription. To avoid the next charge, cancel before the renewal deadline in your store account subscription settings.

Acceptable use.

Use Xtra Hands the way it is meant to be used: to coordinate chores and allowance for the members in your household. You agree not to:

  • Misrepresent who you are or pretend to be a parent of a member you have no responsibility for.
  • Use the Service to deliver content that is illegal, harassing, or harmful — particularly through chore titles, ledger notes, or other text fields members can see.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract data from the Service except via the parts of the API we publish.
  • Resell access or operate the Service on behalf of paying third parties.

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We will tell you why if we do.

Co-parents and multiple households.

You can invite a co-parent to your household at no additional cost. Co-parents have the same admin rights you do — they can add and remove members, mark chores complete, and log payments. Both parents are bound by these Terms when they accept the invitation.

A user can also belong to multiple households. Each household has its own subscription and its own member records.

Your content.

You own the chores, ledger entries, member names, and other content you put into Xtra Hands. We need a license to host and display that content so the Service can work — that license is limited to operating Xtra Hands for you and your household, and it ends when you delete the data or your account.

Service changes and availability.

We are improving Xtra Hands actively, which means features may change, get added, or get removed. We will not remove a feature you depend on without giving you notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability — we will tell you about scheduled maintenance, and we will try to make outages short and uncommon.

Termination.

You can delete your household at any time from the dashboard. Deletion is permanent and removes the parent account, every member record, and every chore and ledger entry. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate these Terms or that we are required by law to terminate.

Disclaimers.

Xtra Hands is provided “as is.” While we work hard to keep the data correct and the service available, we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will fit any particular purpose beyond the chore-and-allowance use case described on the marketing site.

Limitation of liability.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Xtra Hands, Spin It LLC, and our team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Governing law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Mississippi, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Mississippi, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to your local courts.

Changes to these Terms.

If we change these Terms in a way that materially affects your rights, we will email parents at least 30 days before the change takes effect and update the “Effective” date at the top. Continuing to use the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the new Terms.
